My self-initiated immersion into the weird and wonderful world of beauty continues with another roundup of products I’ve been loving and loathing! This is a French edition hence the rustic touches, with these products making up my travel staples on my recent trip.
I know these beauty posts are few and far between at the moment, but I promise to try to share my beauty trials more consistently going forward as I venture into new territory with BBs and CCs and mattifying-hydrating-miracle-concealing-setting-unicorn fairy dust powders…
I’ve really been getting in to beauty blogs lately (there must be about 20 beauty blogs for every fashion one, they’re hard to ignore!), so have a list of products I want to try as long as my arm (MAC Fix+! NYX liquid lipsticks! Everything Urban Decay!).
I’m slowly learning the lingo and realising that my makeup and skincare routines are woefully lacking. Also, there is a product for everything. But it’s not necessarily going to be the right product for you, so you’ve got to try at least five first before you find THE ONE. This beauty lark sure is complicated, but I’m getting there.
Anywaaay here are a few things I’ve been trying this month, including both the highs and lows (*these are mainly PR samples, but that doesn’t affect my reviews, promise!*).
Nope, you didn’t read the headline wrong, this is genuinely a beauty post! I know, my forays into beauty are few and far between. I’ll be honest, I’m still learning when it comes to makeup and skincare. Toners and exfoliators, BB creams and CC creams, strobing and contouring? Not my forte.
Yet beauty is such an integral part of the blogging industry, and I’m constantly getting sucked into reviews of the latest miracle foundation or XYZ cream. It’s a fascinating world, so although I’m no expert I thought I’d share my beauty journey with you nonetheless, one product at a time.
These are a few of the things I’ve received over the past month or so and thought I’d trial run for you!
Happy Sunday! I hope you’re doing it properly and are still in your jammies, hopefully with a handsome OH in the kitchen cooking you up a full English!
Something a bit different for you today, I’m venturing into unchartered territory with a beauty post! Urban Decay’s new fall line of makeup debuted recently and I got my hands on their new matte revolution lipstick collection, which I couldn’t resist sharing with you in the form of several pouty portraits (soz, I have resting bitch face apparently).
