Wishlist Wednesday: Zara Favourites

I’ve got a bit of a Zara problem at the moment. As in, I want everything they sell ever.

I’m also noticing that I’m really inspired by a certain few select trends for SS16, that are currently influencing all my purchasing decisions.

It’s that time of year when the current season is getting a bit tired, and the shops are starting to bring out the first of the new season goodies, and my fingers are itching to splurge…

Tailoring with unexpected features such as ruffles, pleats, or complicated sleeves are a pretty big deal on the street style circuit at the moment, thanks to designers such as J.W. Anderson and Rosie Assoulin.

This season I’m looking to up my tailoring game with this gorgeous cut-out ruffle shirt (which doesn’t seem to be in stock yet, but I’m watching…). I’m still not over the boho trend either, so for high summer ruffles chiffon pieces are set to be a staple.

The 90s ain’t going anywhere! A slinky cami over a t-shirt is my current favourite layering trick, and I love Zara’s grown up take on the trend.

I’m also loving all things patched at the moment, inspired by my favourite denim. These mom jeans are at the top of my list, but I’m also keen on picking up patches off eBay to iron onto anything and everything.

Another trend I’ve got my eye on is unusual denim. Anything ripped, cropped, or with the aforementioned patches are a winner in my books, plus I’m gravitating towards staples reworked in denim such as dresses and culottes (there’s a pair of denim culotte dungarees I’m desperate to get my hands on!).

An SS16 trend that’s evolving in a big way is the love of all things strappy, from dresses to shoes. I didn’t pay much attention to the Aquazzura dupes that exploded last year, but now that the style has matured and the selection has become more diverse, I’m tempted to invest.

What pieces are you loving at the moment?
